Hi BK,
As you know I am an artist...abstract painter. So I am posting my website, and here is may artist statement. Next solo show, Barcelona, November 14 - 28, with openings on the 19 and 27th in el Born...c/Calders 3.

The passage of time marks itself.
Each stone I pick up holds evidence of a constantly transitioning planet. I like the idea that I can access traces of life from millions of years past, by simply examining a pebble.
By the time a stone makes its way to the palm of my hand it has liberated itself from a much larger body of rock. This emancipation born of fire, pressure, or chemical integration, creates notations… tangible committments to earth´s constant evolution, and time´s continuous passage.
My paintings are compositions I have borrowed from the surfaces of these fragments. I pick and choose marks, and work toward a groovy composition. The images pull themselves together and reveal my interpretations of certain geological impressions. In my mind, this is a way to celebrate an undeniable spirituality born in the basic elements of nature.
Relatively speaking, I paint what I find as a reflection of life in rocks.

Hey Barak,

I found your blog because I used to be an intern at Gild International in Barcelona. In this role, I made a lot of coffee, answered the phone in Spanish to angry people returning cold calls from our in-house businesses, spent three days in a basement assembling flat pack conference chairs, and researched what our member's companies actually did, which is how I stumbled upon this blog (through the Rassak website).

When I ran out of money and moved back to London, I managed to get a job at Coded Pictures, an indie film company, as the producer's assistant. Coded recently made a documentary called Moving to Mars, following refugees from Burma who get moved to the UK. I got promoted to campaign co-0rdinator for the film, so I'm currently on a very steep social media learning-curve trying to drum up interest in it, as well as get it into film festivals and team up with NGOs to set up joint screenings with them... so life is busy. I read this blog because I've always been interested in communication and marketing, now more so than ever.

The blog for the film is at http://movingtomarsfilm.wordpress.com/ , and a couple of teasers are up at http://www.youtube.com/user/codedpictures. It's also on Twitter as @movingtomars if anyone wants to follow us. US screenings are a very distant possibility right now, but we're in some great European film festivals so far, and we live in hope!

I hope that was an interesting enough introduction!

Out To Sea is a collaboration of people creating deeper than skin body products that are unscented non-clogging, and formulated to be used on inked or non-inked skin. After years of consulting with tattoo artists and their clients, Out To Sea brought our ideas to a local laboratory in search of the perfect lotion. Due to frustration with the limitations and greasy feel of current tattoo skin care products on the market, it was especially important to take the time to test various formulas. Out To Sea believes that a great lotion for tattoos should be able to be used long after a tattoo has healed. With a product line that now includes lotion, sunscreen lotion, salt scrub, and soap, Out To Sea provides vegan, safe, hydrating, and multi-use skin care products.
